Uchechi Kanu, the wife of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, paid a heartfelt visit to her husband, who remains in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The visit, facilitated by Anambra South Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah, provided a rare opportunity for Uchechi to see her husband, who has been detained since 2021 after being renditioned from Kenya.

Prior to this visit, Uchechi had faced repeated denials of access to her husband. However, her persistence and the intervention of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah paved the way for this crucial meeting.

Speaking to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on a radio broadcast in the United Kingdom, Uchechi expressed her gratitude to Senator Ubah and other Igbo politicians, governors, and political figures who have shown concern for her husband's plight.

Acknowledging the efforts of these individuals, Uchechi emphasized their silent but impactful contributions toward securing a round table discussion for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

She expressed her deep appreciation for their support during this challenging time.
