*WORKS COMMISSIONER INSPECTS ROAD PROJECTS IN OWERRI.*
Earlier today, the Imo State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu, accompanied by the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Barr. Rex Anunobi, paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the Naze Timber Market Road and the Alaba International Market Road.
The Alaba International Market Road is already receiving asphalt laying and is nearing completion, while the Naze Timber Market Road is currently at the soil formation level.
Ralph Nwosu urged the contractor handling the Naze Timber Market Road to further accelerate the construction pace and recover the road promptly. He emphasized that the road will enhance interconnectivity to major highways, facilitate ease of doing business, and boost the state's economic fortunes.
Speaking on the Alaba International Market Road, the Works Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining high-quality construction standards and reiterated the government’s commitment to durable and sustainable infrastructure. He also appealed to traders and other road users to cooperate with the contractors to ensure timely and seamless completion of the projects.
