 FINALLY, IKENGA IMO'S RELENTLESS FIREBRAND LEGISLATIVE FIREWORKS  PAY OFF 

The news that the superlative  legislative efforts of *Hon Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, Oje ozi ideato* have started yielding fruits came to Ndi ideato like a storm.

The jubilant mood of the people can only be appreciated when one fixes his mind on the gully erosion sitting on Umuchima axis of the impassable  Orlu-Mgbee-Umuchima-Akokwa- Uga road, a situation that appeared intractable and irredeemable for many years.  Its dire straight was made worse by the haywire politicization that greeted each effort of government 

 in the past. *A gully erosion that arose as a dot but left to widen, has since exacerbated and became a behemoth of sorts leaving trails of hues and cries, of sorrows and of losses to the Umuchima people and road users.* 

More disheartening was the lip service the political gladiators from Douglas House and  Ideato Nation had paid in halting its devastating effects.

But *Hon Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere* upon being inaugurated in June, 2023 as member representing the good people of ideato nation in the Green Chambers, National Assembly, Abuja had promised  to keep his campaign promises  and change the ideato federal constituency's  narratives from negativity to positivity.

 *True to his word, while on the floor of the House with his constituency based motions,  Oje Ozi ideato's ceaseless adornment of a toga of one representing a people vanished by teething erosion and deplorable road network made it easier for him to better explain and convey the plights of his people* .

Today, his efforts have started paying off as he has personally announced federal government's approval for release of funds for an interventionist work on Umuchima gully erosion.

The federal lawmaker said the reconstruction work on the road itself will follow pending Federal Executive Council meeting's  approval of the design, cost of re- construction of Orlu- Mgbee- Akokwa-Uga road as being worked out by his elder brother and friend, honourable Minister of Works, Engr Dave Umahi . *Oje Ozi ideato* admitted too that although the funds earmarked for the interventionist work on the Erosion site is a far cry from what was needed but the allocated sum is a sign that his advocacy   has proven to be very effective. He ended up pleading with Ndi Ideato to remain vigilant and prayerful as he continues to perform his avowed role of rendering quality representation to the people.

What more can be said of a man known for his uncommon courage, brevity, intellect and tact. These attributes, no doubt, have helped *OJE OZI IDEATO* weather the storm using legislative fangs  he could summon as he grapples with myriads of socio- economic challenges and ecological hazards visited on Ndi ideato as a result of ineptitude of past representative of the constituency. 

Like *OJE OZI IDEATO* said and we believed him, there is help on the way for Ndi Ideato.
