 *COMMISSIONER DR. EMEKA MANDELA JOINS HAND OF HOPE FEEDING OUTREACH INITIATIVE*




In a purposeful display of service to humanity, *Dr. Emeka Mandela,* Imo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, joined esteemed personalities and dignitaries at the "Hand of Hope Feeding Outreach" program on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The event was organized by Comr. Donald C. Nnorom, Chairman of the Council of Departmental Presidents (CDP), Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri.


The program brought together various Nigerian students to address their needs and foster a culture of personal development. It aimed to provide a platform for students to grow intellectually and identify opportunities for development.


*Dr. Mandela* expressed gratitude to the event organizer, praising the initiative as a bold step towards benefiting humanity and improving the welfare of Nigerian students. He emphasized the importance of career development and skill acquisition.


Students were encouraged to pursue skills and attend beneficial workshops to enrich their personal development and career building. The Commissioner referenced the recent celebration of World Skills Day, which encourages citizens to acquire various skills, particularly digital skills.


The Ministry plans to unveil the Imo Youth Skill Academy, focusing on Technical and Digital skills under the tag "One Youth, Two Skills." This initiative aims to equip young people with the skills needed to succeed in today's fast-paced world.


In a remarkable display of support, *Dr. Mandela* identified four students with skills related to digital and sports, offering them instant employment with the Ministry. He also pledged to attract foreign football companies to recruit talented students.


The event culminated in an award presentation to *Dr. Mandela,* recognizing his excellence in leadership. The highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the "Hand of Hope Feeding Outreach Almanac" by *Dr. Mandela,* who made a donation of N50,000 in support.


In conclusion, the "Hand of Hope Feeding Outreach" program is a testament to the power of collaboration and community service, inspiring young people to take advantage of opportunities and strive for excellence.
