Imo APC Chairman, Hon Ebere Leads Imo APC Delegation To National Summit in Abuja

 *HON EBERE LEADS IMO APC DELEGATION TO NATIONAL SUMMIT IN ABUJA*

As Gov. Uzodinma Led APC Governors Forum Endorse President Tinubu as Sole Candidate for 2027 Election_ 

ABUJA, May 22, 2025 — The All Progressives Congress (APC) convened its National Summit today at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, under the theme: "Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far." The summit brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and members from across the nation to assess the progress of the Renewed Hope Agenda and strategize for the future.

Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, the APC Chairman in Imo State and Board Chairman of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos, led the Imo State delegation to the summit. His participation underscored Imo State's active engagement in national party affairs and commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda.

A significant highlight of the summit was the unanimous endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC's sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. This motion was initiated by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who serves as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF). Governor Uzodimma emphasized the collective commitment of the governors to mobilize resources and ensure victory for President Tinubu in their respective states. 

The motion was promptly seconded by the Vice Chairman of the PGF and Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani. The endorsement received unanimous approval from all attendees, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, members of the National Assembly, serving and former governors, and APC members from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .

In his remarks, Hon. Ebere commended President Tinubu's leadership and the tangible progress achieved under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also lauded Governor Uzodimma for his exemplary leadership within the PGF and his unwavering dedication to the party's ideals.

"This summit represents a turning point in the reaffirmation of our party’s vision for a greater Nigeria. The Renewed Hope Agenda is not a mere slogan; it is a working reality that has found expression in tangible governance outcomes across states and sectors under the purposeful leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu", He opined. 

"From infrastructural revival to macroeconomic stabilization, this administration has displayed courage, tact, and foresight—qualities that resonate with the philosophy of our great party, the APC. It is for these reasons, among others, that I join my fellow party leaders in reaffirming full confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and supporting the progressive decision to adopt him as our sole presidential candidate for 2027."
