The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Nigeria, has disclosed that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and conclude on June 24, 2024.
Speaking at the WAEC Lagos Office on Monday, Dr. Amos Dangut, the Head of Nigeria Office, affirmed the council's preparedness to administer the examination, which will run for seven weeks and six days.
Dr. Dangut emphasized that the examination will be conducted not only in Nigeria but also in three other WAEC member countries: Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
He reassured candidates of the council's readiness and expressed gratitude to various stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Education, State Ministries of Education, security agencies, and other partners, for their continuous support in ensuring the successful conduct of credible examinations.
