The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, revealed that President Tinubu has given the green light for the commencement of the design phase of the Sokoto-Badagry Coastal Highway, a significant infrastructure project aimed at connecting regions across Nigeria.
Umahi emphasized the strategic importance of this coastal road, which will link the South-West, South-South, North-East, North-West, and North-Central regions upon completion.
He further outlined plans for additional spurs extending the highway network, reinforcing the government's commitment to improving transportation infrastructure nationwide.
