Aisha Galadima, a female politician and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, was reportedly arrested by security agents suspected to be operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Sunday.
The arrest is believed to be connected to a negative social media post about the state governor, Uba Sani.
Galadima allegedly criticized Sani's remarks against the former governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on her Facebook page. Sources indicate that she was arrested in her community in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna on Sunday afternoon, and her phone was switched off after the arrest.
However, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, stated he was unaware of the arrest and directed inquiries to the DSS for clarification.
He emphasized that enquiries regarding the matter should be directed to the DSS, not the Kaduna State Government.
