Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed strong disapproval regarding the substandard quality of meals served to residents participating in the Ramadan Feeding program. Despite allocating a substantial budget of N6 billion for this initiative, concerns have been raised about the inadequate portions and lack of protein in the meals provided.
During an impromptu visit to one of the feeding centers in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government Area. Governor Yusuf, visibly displeased, emphasized his commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.
According to a statement released by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor's visit was prompted by intelligence reports indicating widespread deficiencies in the handling of the feeding program across the metropolis. Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration's stance against dishonesty and mismanagement, vowing to address the shortcomings observed in the program's implementation.
