IMO STATE GOVERNMENT BEGINS THE DEMOLITION OF ILLEGAL STRUCTURES IN AVU MECHANIC VILLAGE.

CERTIFIES COCEAN'S STRUCTURE AS ILLEGAL, HAVING NO SURVEY BASE AND VERIFIABLE TITLE DEEDS

Following the revelation of glaring and incontrovertible facts of land grabbing made known by the official developer of the Avu Mechanic Village, Prince Jeff Ukachukwu CEO PrimeWest Properties, the Imo State Government has began the demolition of all illegal structures within the phase 1 and 2 of the Avu Mechanic Village.

The illegal structures which were marked for demolition by the state government were professionally mapped by a team of surveyors from OCDA, Ministry of Lands, Town Planning  and The Office of the Surveyor General of Imo State. It was ascertained that the structure erected by Mr Ndubuisi Chinedu CEO COCEAN Integrated is against the original master plan of the layout, does not have a survey plan, or base and the title deeds been brandished by Mr Ndubuisi Chinedu are not verifiable in the archives of government. As such  the need to carry out the lawful demolition of the property as directed by government.

The General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority OCDA, Hon. Frank Nzewodo attributed the illegal acquisition of landed properties to greed and avarice. He therefore warned all persons in Imo State to desist from illegal acquisition of landed properties insisting that the OCDA under his watch his 100% poised to partner with the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to rid the state of all forms of land racketeering and recover all lands according to the recommendation of the white paper on land recovery.

The leadership of the National Automobile Technicians Association NATA Imo State branch hailed the ongoing demolition stating that it is the right thing to do in other to restore the original master plan of the Avu Mechanic Village and to discourage people from illegal acquisition of landed properties.

Prince Jeff Ukachukwu CEO  PrimeWest Properties thanked His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma the Executive Governor of Imo for his unalloyed commitment towards ensuring that illegal acquisition of landed properties in Imo State becomes a byword in Imo State.

On site, the mechanics in Avu Mechanic Village were seen in clusters hailing the demolition of the COCEAN Integrated Nigeria Limited illegal structure saying Mr Ndubuisi Chinedu has no business to come into the mechanic village in the first place.
