GOVERNOR UZODIMMA FLAGS-OFF FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM TO SUPPORT IMO WORKERS
In offering an interim measure to cushion the economic challenges in the country, the Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has flagged-off a food distribution program for Imo State Civil servants.
The Governor in his address at the Imo State Secretariat, Owerri, reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of Imo workers and the entire people of Imo to ease their sufferings occasioned by global economic challenges currently addressed by the economic reforms of the Federal Government for long-term benefits.
Governor Uzodimma availed the opportunity to acquaint the civil servants with the Government's policies and the need for their dedication to the achievements.
The Governor further explained that the policies of the Federal Government with the State are working hard to bring a new life to the people which includes checkmating Crude Oil theft, regulating foreign exchange rates, and reviewing monetary policies.
He emphasized on the need for their collective cooperation in order to move Imo State forward.
Speaking earlier, the Imo State Head of Service, Barr Raymond Ucheoma commended the Governor for his generosity and commitment to the welfare of Imo workers. He stated that the Governor's honesty of purpose has been their benchmark in service to the State.
