FCT APC Leaders Voice Concerns Over Minister Wike's Alleged Partisan Appointments
In a recent press conference held in Abuja, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) expressed dissatisfaction with the appointments made by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, accusing him of favoring his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) associates over APC members.
The APC chieftains called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene, warning of potential consequences for the party's political standing in the capital. They highlighted specific appointments of former PDP members to key positions and criticized Wike's alleged disregard for APC members who contributed to the president's electoral success.
The leaders emphasized the importance of a fair and inclusive approach to governance and urged Wike to prioritize empowering the APC in the FCT. Additionally, the APC Youth Leader of the FCT, Isaac David, threatened withdrawal of support for the president if the alleged marginalization of APC members persists.
