News Update:
It was an honor to welcome His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Imo State on a working visit, where he graciously commissioned key legacy projects executed by my administration.
These include the reconstructed Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia Road, measuring 52km (dual carriageway), which enhances connectivity between Imo and neighboring States, opening up rural economies, boosting trade, and facilitating easier movement of goods and people.
The Assumpta Flyover at Control Post, also commissioned, addresses long-standing traffic congestion in Owerri. This critical infrastructure now improves urban mobility, reduces travel time, and enhances business operations within the capital city of Owerri.
Equally significant is the commissioning of the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Center (EIICC) - a world-class facility that places Imo on the map as a hub for conferences, exhibitions, and tourism-driven growth.
These projects are a reflection of our commitment to the Shared Prosperity Agenda, which continues to deliver meaningful and inclusive development for ndi Imo nile.
On behalf of the government and people of Imo State, I extend our deep appreciation to President Tinubu for taking time to be with us, despite pressing national matters. His visit reaffirms his support for Imo’s progress and our collective drive for a better Nigeria.
