Nigeria and Imo State have lost a towering figure with the passing of Nda Paschal Dozie, a celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist whose vision left an indelible mark on the nation. 


Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State expressed the collective grief, stating, “I am deeply saddened by the passing on of Nda Paschal Dozie; renowned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and one of Imo State’s finest sons.” 


Nda Paschal Dozie was a trailblazer. He founded Diamond Bank, a financial institution that grew into one of Nigeria’s most competitive banks, earning him widespread admiration. His sharp foresight didn’t stop there—he also co-invested in MTN Nigeria, a telecom giant, and remained a key shareholder until his death. His achievements showcased a rare blend of business brilliance and dedication to progress, making him a source of pride for the country. 


Reflecting on this loss, Governor Uzodimma said, “Nda Paschal’s death is a great loss to Nigeria and to Imo State. His business acumen was exceptional, and his legacy will endure.” Indeed, Dozie’s contributions went beyond profit; he uplifted communities and inspired countless others with his generosity and wisdom. His absence leaves a void that will be felt deeply across the nation. 


In a heartfelt message, the governor added, “On behalf of the Government and good people of Imo State, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.” 


As Nigeria mourns, Nda Paschal Dozie’s legacy stands as a shining example of what one person’s vision can achieve—a light that will continue to guide future generations.
