Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has issued a strong directive to military forces, demanding that they reclaim all territories lost to bandits in Baruten, Kaiama, and Kainji forest within one month. Addressing troops at the 22 Armoured Brigade in Ilorin, he stressed the urgency of preventing insurgency spread into the North Central region. Despite some complaints from soldiers about inadequate and substandard weapons, Oluyede promised improved welfare and logistics.
