Tinubu administration slashes Kidney dialysis costs by 80%

The President Bola Tinubu administration has announced an 80% reduction in the cost of dialysis for kidney patients across Nigeria,reducing the cost from N50,000 to N12,000 per session. 




This initiative which was led by the Coordinating Minister of Health, Ali Pate,aims to provide a good level of relief to individuals suffering from kidney disease, and has been approved in over 10 federal medical institutions nationwide.


The following medical institutions have been verified to offer the subsidised kidney, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi,  Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lagos, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owerri, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Maiduguri, Mederal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Calabar.


According to some medical personnels,the Federal Government has not just subsidised the cost, but have provided them with various equipments required for easy and affordable dialysis.
