...Encourages Young Trainees
As part of efforts to empower Imo youths, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, declared open the "Training on Conversion of Petrol Vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Powered Vehicles" organized by Kojo Motors Ltd in conjunction with the National Automotive Design And Development Council (NADDC).
The event, which took place at the Classic Auto Care Ltd, Km 2 Egbu Road, Owerri, Imo State, saw the attendance of numerous young trainees eager to learn about the conversion of petrol vehicles to CNG powered vehicles and to also learn about CNG fuel system components and their functions.
The Governor, ably represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Dr. Emeka Mandela, encouraged the young trainees to take advantage of the exercise and promised to fund licenses of some outstanding trainees upon completing the 5-day CNG training.
The young Commissioner expressed profound gratitude to the organizers and guests, acknowledging their enormous inputs and dedication to empowering Imo youths.
Speaking earlier, the Director General/CEO National Automotive Design and Development Council, Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin commended His Excellency, the Pan-Nigerian Youth Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, for providing an enabling environment for skill acquisition programs, fostering self-sufficiency and self-reliance among Imo youths.
Dr Osanipin, however, enjoined the young trainees to take advantage of the golden opportunity and make good use of it.
