With what the former President/Head of State Ibrahim B. Babagida (IBB) revealed yesterday during the Presidential library fundraising concerning the annulment of the1993 Election and MKO Abiola the rightful winner, I recommend Prof. Humphrey Nwosu to be honored as a "beacon of integrity" and the INEC National complex should be renamed after Prof. Humphrey Nwosu on his honor. This is a man that should be studied for his integrity and exemplary role in the 1993 election as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman. A man that accepted to resign instead of doing that which will have negative influence on our Nation.
Prof Humphrey Nwosu will be buried on the 28th March, 2025 while the Nation needs to have a National structure to his name.
He is an Icon of integrity and an institution to study.
If only the current INEC Chairman and those before him could emulate Prof. Humphrey Nwosu then Nigeria's problem will be 80% solved.
The story of Prof. Humphrey Nwosu should continue to resound in the ear and repeat on the lips of the younger generation that there was once a man of integrity.
Rest on our Legend and a man that represents the true Igbo identity(Eziokwu bu ndu).
