It was indeed a historic and memorable day in the annals of history; and the entire Abuja environs stood still, as a powerful delegation from Ebetete Okporo Ancient Kingdom in their numbers storm the city of Abuja, to congratulate, identify and honour their son, Rt. Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu (Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu) on his emergence as member representing Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency at the 10th National Assembly.

On arrival, the great Sons and Daughters of Okporo were warmly welcomed to the National Assembly by the Chief of Staff to the honorable member, Comrade Charles Nlebemchukwu Nwachukwu (Okorobia), who is another son of Ebetete Okporo. On settling down at the meeting hall and after the pleasantries, Hon. Omeogo presented kola nuts to the people as Igbo tradition demands. Through Chief Valentino Chinedu Ibenye Ugbala (Ikuku Oma), the purpose of the visit by the high powered delegation was revealed and each and every member of the delegation was given opportunity to introduce him or herself and say one or two things about the reason and importance of the visit.

The delegation's written address was read out by Town Planner Austin Ukanwa. In the written address, Okporo people thanked their son, Hon. High Chief Omeogo, for weathering all storm and fighting gallantly like a real son of Okporo Kingdom to come out victoriously during the last general elections, and also for employing his inner political dexterity and the indefatigable and Spartan "Ako Na Uche" elixir of Ebetete Okporo to emerge as one of the Chairmen of standing committees (Inter-Governmental Affairs Committee) of the 10th National Assembly and for being elected as a member of the 6th ECOWAS Parliament, that anchors regional development, peace and stability of the West African Sub Region. They equally thanked His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko), the Executive Governor of Imo State, for wholeheartedly supporting Omeogo's emergence as a Federal House of Representatives member and member representing his (Governor's) Constituency.

Special thanks was also given to the Speaker of House Representative, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas Ph.D, and the Deputy Speaker, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu (Enyi Abia) for their superlative support to their son, Omeogo to the extent that under his watch, our son emerged the House Committee Chairman on Inter-Governmental Affairs.

Finally, they set a task for Omeogo, urging him to be a good ambassador of his people, a trailblazer, a harbinger of hope and succor to the destitutes, and a pacesetter that will bring uncommon and unparalleled projects and employment opportunities to our Federal Constituency, in such a manner that was never seen before.

Notable political stakeholders and dignitaries who were present in the occasion, equally took their turns to eulogies the political prowess, sagacity and impeccable personality of Rt. Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Nwachukwu. Among such personalities were Rt. Hon. Chief Alex Mascot Ikwecheghi, Member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State and our own Rt. Hon.  Princess Mirian Onuoha, representing the good people of Okigwe North Federal Constituency, the leader of Imo State Cacus and secretary of South East Cacus of the House of Representatives.

Sequel to this, the delegation from Okporo clan presented special and significant award, gifts items to their son, Omeogo, as a symbol of their love and solidarity to him and the office he occupied as member representing Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency. On receiving these affectionate gifts, the enthusiastic and elated Rt. Hon. High Chief Omeogo thanked the members of the delegation and the entire people of Ebetete Okporo for the uncommon "Onye Aghala Nwanne Ya Spirit" which they have shown to him. He said, this will continue to reverberate in the annals of history of Okporo kingdom. He urged them to continue to pray and support him in their various capacities, so as to overcome all the herculean tasks and weighty expectations of his Federal Constituency. He promised, by the special grace of God, not to fail his people of Ebetete Okporo in particular, and his Federal Constituency in general, as he's fully energized to provide enviable Constituency projects and goodwill that will withstand the test of time and etch his name in history.

From the meeting hall, the delegation move to Omeogo's office where very hearty prayers were said to fortify and empower Omeogo to continue to soar and achieve greater feats.

Pictures were taken inside Omeogo's office and entertainment of the August visitors took place at the great Bolingo Xperia Hotel, Abuja owned by another great son of Ebetete Okporo, Chief Emeka Ujagba (Mmiri Na Ezoro Oha).

Omeogo's people and ancestors are behind him. Okporo is on the move. The voice of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East is everywhere.
