Shaibu revealed his willingness to reconcile with Governor Godwin Obaseki, despite previously accusing him of orchestrating his impeachment. 


He clarified that the vehicles in question were not new but refurbished ones belonging to previous deputy governors, emphasizing his commitment to transparency during his tenure. 


Shaibu criticized the impeachment process and called for constitutional amendments to safeguard deputy governors from arbitrary removal.
