The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is poised to take former Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, into custody following damning revelations of financial impropriety.

Detailed accounts of alleged looting of state funds have surfaced, implicating Ikpeazu and Tunnel End Investment Limited in a massive embezzlement scheme.

Tunnel End Investment Limited, linked to Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, son of former deputy governor Clement Chima Nwafor, has emerged as a key player in the scandal.

Enyinnaya Nwafor, also the proprietor of Rock Waters Integrated Services Ltd., headquartered in Aba, allegedly facilitated the misappropriation of funds during Ikpeazu's tenure.

Jackson Ude, publisher of Point-blank news and former presidential spokesman, unveiled shocking transactions involving Ikpeazu and Tunnel End Investment Limited.

Ude's revelations point to a systematic draining of state resources, with substantial sums diverted into the coffers of the implicated company.

According to Ude's findings, a series of suspicious transactions occurred in January 2016, involving the ABSG Excess Crude Account.

These transactions, totaling hundreds of millions of Naira, were purportedly funneled to Tunnel End Investment Limited, under the directorship of Dame Gladys Nnenwafor, wife of a former deputy governor of Abia State.

Furthermore, Ude's investigation highlights additional transactions involving Autonation Nigeria Limited, with ties to Ugochukwu Kennedy Nsofor, who was arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for drug trafficking.

With mounting evidence and public outcry, the EFCC's imminent action underscores the gravity of the allegations against Ikpeazu and his alleged accomplices.

As the investigation unfolds, the pursuit of justice for Abia State's misappropriated funds intensifies, with Ikpeazu facing the prospect of legal consequences for his alleged involvement in financial malfeasance.
