The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended ward party leaders who previously suspended the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.
The saga unfolded when Ganduje's ward in Dawkin Tofa Local Government suspended him, citing allegations leveled against him by the state government. However, the APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government swiftly thwarted the suspension and sacked those behind it.
The State Working Committee of the APC has now adopted the suspension of the ward's leaders and initiated a special investigations panel to verify allegations of anti-party activities.
Meanwhile, Ganduje and others are set to be arraigned on bribery charges, with a court ruling that the state anti-corruption commission lacks the power to investigate him over a separate bribery allegation.
