Earlier today, 23rd April, 2024, the Imo State acting Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Sir Chidi Dike, who was in Abuja over the weekend to honour a special invitation from the National Working Committee of the PDP for it's National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting which took place at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, where he was authoritatively confirmed as the acting Chairman of Imo State PDP based on the substantive judgement of the Federal High Court, Awka.


The acting Chairman, Sir Dike whose sudden notice of arrival and resumption of office today threw the Imo PDP agog as he was filled with happiness and overwhelming surprise with the level of mammoth crowd who tropped out to welcome him at the Imo PDP State Secretariat, Owerri.




Addressing the gentlemen of the Press on arrival, Sir Dike, thanked the members of Imo State PDP as he unequivocally made it clear that Imo State PDP have come to stay firmly and experience a breathe of fresh air. He further said that the umbrella is large enough to accommodate everyone who is willing to be part of the PDP.


Speaking further, he echoed it loud and clear that he is determined to reconcile every reconcilable aggrieved members of Imo PDP who left the party because of one reason or the other from 1999 till date, especially the founding members of the PDP.


From the South East PDP wing, Hon. Mike Ahumibe, the South East PDP Organizing Secretary, without mincing words, delivered the goodwill message from the South East PDP leadership as they assured Sir Chidi Dike, of maximum and unwavering support to his office and the entire Imo State PDP for the overall good of Ndi PDP in the South East and beyond and urged the party faithfuls to continue to show unalloyed support to the PDP and her leadership at all levels.


PDP is not owned by any individual, it's owned by all of us who are members of the party and by the grace of God, we will return this Party to her days of Glory and Victory and give Ndi Imo good Governance.
