Former President Olusegun Obasanjo visited Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice and selflessness in political leadership. During the courtesy visit at the Government House in Benin City, Obasanjo commended Obaseki for his warm reception and urged Nigerians not to lose faith in the country despite its challenges.
Reflecting on the state of affairs in Nigeria, Obasanjo highlighted the need for collective action towards sustainable development, emphasizing the responsibility of current leaders to look after the welfare of all generations. He also lauded Governor Obaseki's developmental strides over the past seven and a half years, stressing the importance of firsthand experience in understanding the progress and challenges faced by a region.
