In a groundbreaking achievement, Chiamaka Nnadozie, goalkeeper for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, has clinched the title of the best goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema women’s league, making her the first African and Nigerian player to do so.
The 23-year-old athlete has solidified her position as one of the world's top goalkeepers through her outstanding performances and remarkable penalty-saving skills throughout the season for Paris FC.
Nnadozie faced tough competition from prominent goalkeepers such as Christiane Endler of Olympic Lyon and Katarzyna Kiedrzynek of Paris SG, but ultimately emerged victorious in claiming this prestigious individual accolade.
Paris FC's president, Pierre Ferracci, expressed his delight at Nnadozie's achievement, highlighting her exceptional performance in the Champions League and her overall contribution to the team. He also mentioned the club's intention to retain her despite potential offers from other clubs.
Currently, Paris FC holds the third position in the league standings, trailing behind Paris Saint-Germain by eight points and Lyon by 11 points.
