Popular cross-dresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has been handed a six-month prison sentence without the option of a fine.

This comes after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought charges against him at the Federal High Court in Lagos for the abuse of the Nigerian currency. Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the first four counts related to the misuse of the Naira, while the remaining charges, including allegations of money laundering, were dismissed by the EFCC.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro delivered the verdict today, April 12th, 2024, sentencing the controversial figure to serve time in the correctional facility.
