The statutory officers of APC in Orlu, Orsu and Oru East were at the National Assembly on Friday, 22nd March 2024 to pay a courtesy visit to the member representing the wonderful people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu (Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu), who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs of the 10th National Assembly.
The delegation ably led by the Chairmen of APC in Orlu LGA, Orsu LGA and Oru East LGA, namely, Hon. Prince Stanley Nwosu (Ochinanwata), Hon. Prince Innocent Obidike and Hon. Prince Alban Amasiatu respectively were at Omeogo's office to know how he is fairing.
The leaders speaking one after the other told Omeogo that they are seeing all he is doing at the National Assembly, that he is doing them proud and that the voice of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency is being heard.
They in one voice passed a vote of confidence on Omeogo and asked him to go on with the good work he is doing and that they know his capabilities before they elected him as their representative and that they know that this is the beginning of much greater things and better days for the Federal Constituency.
They presented High Chief Omeogo with Letter of Commendation and other valuable gifts to encourage him to do more things.
On ground with Omeogo to receive the August visitors were: Igwe Dr. Rick Acholonu, the Igwe of Orlu, Chief Everest Okpara, the CEO of Everight Diagnosis & Laboratory Services Ltd, Hon. Chief Ifeanyi Oruh (Onowu, Orjichukwuwuru), the SA to Imo State Governor on Rural Developments, Hon. Mrs. Ify Umeh, the former SA to Imo State Governor on Insurance among other highly influential and reputable personalities.
Everyone that spoke from the first person up to the Igwe of Orlu that spoke last, all said one good thing or the other about Omeogo, how well he is performing and what a great man he is.
Responding, a highly delighted Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu welcomed the visitors and appreciated them for deeming it wise to pay him such a special visit. He thanked them for their sacrifices before, during and after his election and for standing firm against all odds to ensure that he emerged victorious. He particularly appreciated them for taking the pain and stress of coming all the way from Imo State to visit him at his office in Abuja, he assured them that he will never forget such gesture and promised to do more visible and greater things for the Federal Constituency and never to let his constituents down.
He asked the Party delegation to convey his message of appreciation to the Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, who is the general leader and mentor for his efforts, fatherly and brotherly directions, and for working so hard to ensure that he won the election and came to Abuja to represent his constituency, while assuring the Governor that he will never let him down or be found wanting in discharging his dutiful responsibilities to his people as he pledged from the beginning, that he, Omeogo will never disappoint or betray the trust and confidence the Governor bestowed on him.
Omeogo prayed that God Almighty in his infinite mercy has brought them safely to Abuja and will finish what he has started by making sure that they get back to Imo State safe and sound.
The visitors were entertained and testified to the great hospitality of Omeogo as they said, from the beginning of their journey, on arrival, their stay and up to their departure were memorable.
Omeogo knows the way and he is walking the right paths. He knows the work and he is doing it correctly. He knows the game and he is playing it well. The voice of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East is getting loud and must be heard very loud and clear.
