_THE UNIVERSALITY OF GOODWILL_

Politics really is not a rocket science. It is about friendship networking; about engagements with other people, one's/other people's circumstances and responsibilities.

Truly, so much work is done in undoing Parliamentary rancour and bringing about humour; enlarging multiple circles of friendships and reducing naysayers to one's goals. Yes, the Politics of representative legislature is pure marketing of one's constituency, its challenges and  prospects; achieving the goals set privately or in partnership with one's Constituents and Constituency, through subtle means of engagements with others (who also have their own peculiar needs but become amenable to one's courses and helping one while helping themselves) to achieve much of one's objectives without dissention.

These are the values going for Hon High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu -  officially, the only Representative in the 10th National Assembly who goes with the "High Chief" title and who is like a good lubricant maintaining the smooth operations within and without the lower Chamber of the National Assembly through his Chairmanship of the Inter-Governmental Affairs Committee of the House.

Many in Imo State, Anambra State, Abia State and indeed the South-South State of Akwa Ibom have made deliberate inquisitions to understand the motivations of the Omeogo personage and Politics. So many people are pleasantly amazed and truly appreciative of the the parliamentary generosity and magnetic charisma of the Hon. Rep. High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu, Omeogo N'Orlu.

These deluge of emotional outpouring of enthusiastic affection, even coming from members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm, stem from High Chief Omeogo's jovial, affable and dramatic uniqueness. His demonstration of universalism of goodwill, richness in humour, gum-like human connectivity and borderlessness in legislative cum parliamentary indulgences appear to be pioneering a new chapter of nationalism and oneness of our body polity. This is truly a novelty show playing out in today's higher national political turf of the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

Never has any Federal House Member in the history of Nigeria's Green Chamber of the National Assembly, been credited with a motion that sought the good and infrastructural welfare of an "across-State" and "across-Regional" implications before.This is the first time in Nigeria's constitutional democracy that Federal House Members have a centripetal pull of meaningful bond of friendship gravitating and concentrating beyond ethnicity, religious sentiments, statism and regionalism to overt Nigerianity. 

The inter-State, inter-Regional, inter-Religious  and inter-Cultural commonality, connectivity and conviviality, which Hon High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu brings to the 10th National Assembly makes him a "drummer-boy" of pan-Nigerianism which emboldens a revival in our brand new vista of Nationalism.

High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu has today, to his credit, a  specifically reserved exclusive title of High Chief and dramatically personifies the objectives of the Inter-Governmental Affairs Committee of the House, which incidentally he heads as its Chairman. He has become the common denominator in parliamentary conviviality and interrelationships.

Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency which High Chief Omeogo represents therefore boasts of a voice that stands out; a voice that stands no chance of a possibility of objections from his colleagues;  a Federal House Member who mixes  easily with irresistible outstretched hands to deal with and to attract Federal Government presence to his Federal Constituency. This is seamless political marketing.

The motion which High Chief Omeogo moved with respect to the Orlu - Ihiala Road demonstrated the uniqueness of the law maker as a politician of boundless acclaim. The dramatics of High Chief Omeogo's  motion amplified the currency of his enormous goodwill. The rush and speed of the entire House to second and sustain the good intentions of the motion remain clear signals that Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency has truly the "sweetest voice" in the 10th National Assembly today. The voice of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East is sonorous and rings like a bell at the 10th National Assembly! This is what is called  Politics. This is marketing too. A Constituency is as popular as its Representative.

 It was obvious that his motion was an instant hit in the House with members scrambling and almost outwitting one another to grab the opportunity to second it. But why not? High Chief Omeogo in positioning the needs to reconstruct the Orlu - Ihiala Federal Road, spoke alluringly and copiously on the connected sections of the same road stretching from his Constituency into Anambra (Ihiala) and backwardly passing his Constituency to adjoining Federal Constituencies by adding the Nkwerre/Añara/Obowo sections (within Imo State),  into Umuahia section ( Abia State) and beyond the SE into the SS section (Akwa Ibom) that links the two Regions of SE and SS. Why would other House Members from within and without, not scramble to do his bidding with his mutualistic approach to the Politics of representation? Politics is give and take, afterall.

Looking at the elasticity of Hon High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu's charitable legislative prowess, the beneficiaries of the Omeogo's motion whom he massaged their interests had to react positively and expeditiously so that High Chief Omeogo would score his set goal of getting the much needed urgent attention to the Orlu - Ihiala Road and achieving the respite needed therein without hassles.

For a first-timer in the National Assembly, the ease with which High Chief CaniceMoore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu stretches his hand across the Niger River needs to be studied. The ease with which High Chief Omeogo has lobbied and toasted the leadership of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly is another angle to his mastery of relationship, using universality of goodwill. He is obviously in bed with the North and the West, all for the good of his Constituency and to the benefit of the SE by extension.

 Working in synergy with his counterparts from the  SE, SS, SW, NE, NW and North Central, it is expected that the mentorship of HE Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma of this protege of Nationalism, (who is himself Omeogo's Constituent) will continue to positively impact in not only the attainment of our National goals but in the maintenance of a convivial and rancour-free National Parliament for the growth of our polity and the  advancement of our constitutional democracy.
