Imo State House of Assembly to Possibly Screen Commissioner Nominees Today
Under the speakership of Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe, the Imo State House of Assembly, as per sources from the Government House, may convene today, March 7, to potentially screen a select few Commissioner Nominees.
Sources from government house hinted ansamediahub that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, purportedly forwarded the names to the House of Assembly for possible screening today.
Beyond the Commissioner Nominees slated for potential screening, the Governor has also finalized appointments for his Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants, with an official announcement expected shortly. Notably, among those appointed, former House of Assembly member for Isu State Constituency, Hon Modestus Osakwe, has reportedly made the list of Senior Special Assistants.
Ansamediahub also gathered that, The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Oguwuike Nwachukwu, previously announced the appointment of Enyinna Onuegbu as Head of the Political Bureau to the Governor.
Onuegbu's appointment, effective immediately, underscores the government's commitment to strategic leadership appointments.
It is understood that the list of Commissioner nominees will be formally submitted to the State House of Assembly for review and potential approval. While some nominees have already been sent for screening, additional names are expected to be forwarded in due course.
