Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has made a significant restructuring move in Ondo State by dissolving the State Executive Council, as announced in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the state capital.

The directive mandates all Cabinet members to promptly hand over their responsibilities to either the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. Simultaneously, Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The affected officials are instructed to transfer all government properties under their possession.

Expressing gratitude, the Governor acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing officials to the state's development. The decision reflects Governor Aiyedatiwa's commitment to fostering a fresh approach in governance.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, who assumed office as the seventh governor of Ondo State, emphasized his dedication to prioritizing the welfare of the people. In a ceremony witnessed by hundreds, he was sworn in at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olusegun Odusile.

Following his inauguration, the new governor engaged with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders across the 18 local government areas. During this meeting, he called for unity and peace, stressing the importance of collaboration for the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Acknowledging the party leaders for their support, Aiyedatiwa urged all factions within the party to unite for the progress of the APC and the overall development of the state. This stakeholders' meeting marks the governor's commitment to fostering cohesion within the political landscape.
